VIP Residence (Bachelors Only)

I stayed for a year and a half, and they kept the apartment clean and were helpful. It was a beautiful, neat place, much better than other apartments I've seen. I care about being comfortable, and the caretaker treated me respectfully when I showed respect too. The one drawback was the electricity charge: some months it was 40 riyals extra because the air conditioner wouldn't switch off. 👍🏻🤝🏻

The apartment on the third floor smelled strongly of sewage, and the furniture was old and dirty. The photos gave a very different impression. Jaafar, who manages the rentals, was rude and unprofessional, while the landlord couldn't be reached by phone. Electricity is charged once it goes over 50 riyals, which happens often. The meter is shared with the neighboring apartment, and I couldn't tell how it was being read, so I worried it might be tampered with. The private internet they advertise was usually very slow, under 10 Mbps. Prices are also extremely high, and there are many better priced options. I absolutely don't recommend this place.

I couldn't cook here, and the price didn't match what nearby apartments offer. The deposit policy was a hassle, with claim after claim, and I left without getting it refunded. The worker, Jafar, was rude and bothered me. He smelled something, accused me of smoking shisha, and kept harassing me, though I'm far from that sort of thing. My sponsor was abroad, leaving the worker in control without oversight or accountability, which made things chaotic. He could easily manipulate the electricity bill and charge me until I was begging for mercy, even though I saved power and turned off the lights when I could.

I lived there for a year, and it was spotless, with no smell of shisha or flavored tobacco. They also provide free laundry and apartment cleaning, plus really fast fiber internet. Honestly, five stars are deserved.
