Sunrise suits

This is my fifth stay here, and I’ll definitely be back. The property is very clean, the location is good near Tabuk park mall, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Mr. Hany, thank you for the good hospitality.

The hotel is clean and reasonably priced, but the night shift employee was somewhat unhelpful. We asked him for tissues; he said he’d check whether any were available, then ignored us. We went the whole night without tissues. Later he said it was the end of the month and there weren’t any. How can that be? We paid for a week’s stay, and the least they should provide when asked is tissues, plastic spoons, or paper cups.

We’d been staying here for a while, including more than four nights this time, but the late night service was very bad and we won’t repeat the experience. On our last day, with a child with us, we returned to find our key card deactivated even though we’d told them we were extending. There was nobody at reception to help us pay. I waited over an hour for the Egyptian staff member to come back so I could pay and get the card activated. They should have cooperated with us instead of switching off the card. The late night Egyptian staff were terrible. Whenever we went downstairs or needed reception, nobody was there, and calls to the number shown in the picture went unanswered. From the time we arrived at the apartment, there were no tissues or even basics like water. I had to call to request a microwave, even though it was listed as a room accessory in the booking. The bathrooms badly need maintenance and weren’t up to standard. The lack of Saudi male or female staff at the hotel is a red flag for us, since our sons and daughters have all the good taste and respect.

The location adds a lot: it overlooks the green Prince Fahd bin Sultan Park, sits near Al-Barak mall, and the ring road gives direct airport access without the congested streets. Sunrise Hotel also has lovely furnishings and is clean and peaceful, yet the price is very reasonable, on par with five-star hotels. The staff are especially courteous, particularly Ms. Tahani Al-Juhani and the Egyptian employee. I recommend it to anyone visiting Tabuk for a luxurious stay.
