Shahad Al Taif by OYO Rooms

Parking is a little tight, but I found a spot right away. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Driving from Taif, I found the route a bit confusing on Google Maps, but otherwise everything was fine. I'd recommend it whether you're visiting Taif for work or pleasure.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and decent value, with a responsive front desk. Noor Mohammed provided excellent service. The breakfast was poor, though, and they used low-quality milk powder. On the first day we arrived after 9:30 am and some items had run out. When we asked the waiter to replenish them, he was a little arrogant and basically replied, "This is what you get." Rooms facing the front are also noisy because of the main road.

My family trip from Jazan to Taif was meant to be a vacation, but this became a bitter experience. The room looked nothing like the photos and was ugly, dirty, and still had the previous guest's garbage. There were no basics like soap, towels, or tissues, so bring everything yourself. The sheets and pillows had lots of long hairs from earlier guests. When I asked room service to change the bedsheet, he handed me one and told me to do it myself. I've never seen worse room service at a hotel. The morning breakfast seemed to be their way of covering up the dirt, but apart from the coffee, nothing was good or hygienic. I complained to the manager the next morning and checked out. He didn't respond to my concerns, just said, "If you are not comfortable, you can find another good hotel." This is the worst hotel in the whole Taif region. Don't book it with your family.
