Anse Severe Beach Villas

The staff were attentive, with thoughtful help like picking up our luggage early and bringing breakfast to the room. Bike rental, secure bike parking, and shuttle rides to the ferry ports, even on departure day, were useful too. The villas sit just across the street from Anse Severe beach, and the rooms are spacious, island-style, and well cared for. There are different layouts, including a one-bedroom villa of about 40 m² and larger ones around 88 m², with air-conditioned bedrooms, a kitchen, and either a garden or balcony, plus a terrace. The kitchens have the basics, and there are BBQ facilities. A comfortable, private spot for a quiet stay by the beach.

We returned for four weeks in February and March 2025, and had another fantastic stay. The place was still clean, spacious, and well kept. Joel is a huge part of what makes it work: he keeps everything spotless and gets our breakfast to us on time. He’s reliable, friendly, and attentive, and was usually the person we dealt with. Nicoletta helped out now and then and did a great job too. The owner also keeps the garden beautifully maintained with the help of a very hardworking gardener. We’re thinking of coming back in two years and hope Joel is still there. Back in February 2023, we stayed in the upper apartment, which had a huge balcony. It looked just like the owner’s photos, with wooden furnishings and meticulous cleanliness. There was a 12 l hot and cold water dispenser, and the canister could be replaced on request for a few rupees. The apartment had enough kitchen equipment for us, including a kettle, coffee maker, pots, plates, and cutlery. We didn’t cook much, so we didn’t need more dishes. The AC and strong fan both worked well. The AC was in the kitchen area and didn’t blow straight onto the bed, which we liked. Breakfast was served on the balcony for 15.00 per person. It was a continental Seychelles breakfast, enough for us, with sliced fresh fruit, an omelet with cheese, tomato, and onion, toast, jam, and butter. Our very friendly employee Juel cleaned the apartment professionally every 2-3 days, changed the sheets and towels, and brought breakfast to us every day. We couldn’t have asked for better service. A transfer from the port was available for €15. The property is right on the beach and has a very clean, well-kept garden. Across the small street are several juice bars and two huge turtles. The occasional e-car, van, or cyclist passing didn’t bother us. It was quiet but still central, with trees for shade and a fresh sea breeze. We couldn’t have had a better place to stay on the island, and we’ll be back.

Everything looked sturdy and well cared for, and it was always clean. The welcome was great, the beach is lovely, and the beach bar is good too. I’d say the location is probably the best on the island.
