Chez Marston Hotel and Apartment

The staff were always ready with tips, and they offer bike rental and transport to the port. The rooms were clean and nice, looking out onto the garden. We felt very warmly welcomed. I’m sure I’ll come back.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, just came for dinner. I tried the takeaway and really liked it. It costs less, the quality is excellent, and there are two tables where you can eat the takeaway there.

A very nice, clean hotel close to the port. Restaurants, a supermarket, and transport are all nearby.

We waited more than two hours for two soups, fish and chips, and a fish fillet with garlic sauce. The soups took about an hour to arrive: the lentil one was watery and bland, while the fish soup was decent. The fillet was rubbery and didn’t seem fresh, and I’d asked for fries instead of rice but got rice. By then we’d already waited so long that I was afraid to complain. No one checked whether everything was all right, and the staff seemed uninterested from the moment we arrived. The meal was mediocre and expensive. Also, the prices on the board outside apply to takeaway; eating in costs twice as much or even three times as much. There are plenty of other places nearby, and I wouldn’t spend my time or money here.
