We loved staying in the cosy two-storey chalet with our kids. The climb up the steep slope didn't bother us, especially with the view over town and the sea towards Praslin, plus those lovely sunsets. The pool area could use some renovation, but we liked its rustic charm.

The steep climb to the hilltop house was the main drawback. I wouldn't rent a bicycle from the house, since you have to bring it back up that slope and it's a real struggle. Still, the place is cosy, the view is great, and the owner and staff are friendly. Staff also picked us up at the ferry terminal.

We stayed in the chalet, which became my favourite. It had everything we needed and then some. As Seychellois guests, we don't usually get treated right, so I was really surprised by how well we were looked after. The owner is very nice, and although he wasn't there during our trip, Claudette was lovely. I'll definitely come back when I'm in la digue.

We spent a wonderful time in La Digue, and Kaz Ladouceur was a great base. The bungalow was clean and quiet, with the village centre nearby and all the beaches an easy bike ride away. The staff were kind and helpful, and shared plenty of island information. We rented bikes at Kaz Ladouceur, and whenever anything was wrong, they fixed it straight away. We can't wait to return.
