BLISS Seaside

The private beach was the highlight, romantic and uncrowded, with beautiful scenery and a lovely view. The hotel is just north of Beau Vallon, yet it’s peaceful and quiet. We also enjoyed the amazing garden and the large enough pool. The rooms were comfortable, the staff super friendly and helpful, and dinner at the restaurant was outstanding. Breakfast was basic but okay.

Bliss Hotel Seychelles left us disappointed. The breakfast had a decent range and was quite good, and we ate good food at the hotel restaurant. But the property is old and doesn’t look like its online presentation. The rooms are spacious, yet worn and due for refurbishment. The cleanliness seemed superficial. The air conditioning smelled strongly unpleasant, and there was visible black buildup in the vents that looked like mold or bacterial contamination. The bed linen was stained, and the terrace armchairs were damaged and worn, with holes. We also found water moths in the bathroom and inside the room, which was unpleasant and not what we expected. We left disappointed because the property didn’t match the photos, reviews, or expectations they created.

Breakfast and the included teatime were outstanding, and everything looked beautiful and clean. I loved my stay at Bliss, and the air conditioning worked great. The only issue was weak Wi-Fi in the bedroom, but that wasn’t a problem for me.

The ocean breeze and beach are right there, as close as you can get. The pool is large, deep, and clear, with a rock you can jump off, and there are restaurants attached. Getting around is easy. The staff were spot on with service, cleanliness, helpfulness, and smiles. Rent a car and get a SIM card, for sure, then enjoy this Bliss-ful Hotel escape on north Mahe.
