Fisherman’s Cove resort

We spent a fabulous 2 weeks at Fishermans Cove and would definitely recommend it, and return if we could. The hotel upgraded us to a hilltop deluxe suite overlooking the ocean. It was spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the large terrace was perfect for watching the magnificent sunsets. The buffets at Le Cardinal for breakfast and dinner were plentiful and tasty. Each night had a different theme, the food was well presented, and the chef preparing the specials was great. The head waiter was attentive and friendly. All the staff were welcoming, helpful, and ready to assist. The cleaners did a great job and kept drinking water in the room. We loved the pool towels, which were the largest we've ever had. A few tiles are missing in the pool, but that didn't affect swimming or walking in it. At the beach, a small stream runs down from the hills into the sea. It's shallow and narrow, so it wasn't really an issue.

We were there for about 3 days, and my friends and I mostly relaxed by the pool and at the beach. The resort isn't directly on the beach, but it's just a short walk next door by the sister property, Story. I was comfortable and had a really relaxing time. We enjoyed the food at the restaurants we tried and weren't disappointed. The peaceful atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for, so this is a good spot if you want to unwind.

For a one-night stay, the hotel and grounds were nice, though a little worn around the edges. Nothing major was wrong, but you can tell it's not new. The room was large, stayed cool, and had a comfortable bed. A few more electrical sockets would have helped, and I'd imagine most rooms have great views. Breakfast was decent, but nothing remarkable. The service was brilliant apart from a few odd processes around pool towels. Late checkout wasn't available for our room, but we could still use the pool, have a drink, and shower while waiting for our flight. It's a bit far from anywhere, though nothing is really that far on the island. Beau Vallon center is a walk away along the road or beach. There's no proper direct beach access, though, and how easy it is to get onto the beach depends on the tides.

Our honeymoon stay was very pleasant, and my partner and I were happy with it. The rooms are spacious, the location is excellent, and the staff are courteous. We had every small need taken care of and received hospitality that's rare to come by. Special thanks to the kitchen staff for making us a vegetarian breakfast.
