Beach Villa Guest House

The welcome was lovely, with an ice-cold towel and a fruit drink. Breakfast was very good, and the response when we had questions was good too. The rooms and staff were nice during our five-day stay. The reason I’m giving four stars is that we’d really looked forward to dinner at the guesthouse after reading reviews saying it was excellent. That was one reason we booked. When we arrived, we found out the woman who cooks the meals wouldn’t be there during our stay. That by itself wasn’t a problem, but I wish we’d been told when booking that dinner wouldn’t be available.

The owners were attentive and their boat trips were nice, but we needed more information beforehand: bring plenty of water, expect quite a bit of walking, and take snorkeling gear. Even then, you may not see much because many corals are dead. The location is good, though I’d recommend renting a car if you want to explore every part of the island. We stayed in two rooms. One was nice, while the other was just okay, with an old shower and bathroom, so the rooms aren’t all alike. Staff were generally friendly, except for the grumpy woman at breakfast. I don’t think saying a pleasant good morning is too much to ask.

We didn’t stay here, but we took Martin and his team’s Curieuse/St.Pierre day tour and highly recommend it. The BBQ was the best food we had on our holiday. Thanks again, Martin! 👌✌️

The staff were fantastic and far more helpful than expected. It’s a great place if you want to kitesurf, with the local community right there. You’ll need to bring all your own gear, since there isn’t a kite base on seychelles yet, as far as I know.
