Lou Lou Bungalows

What a lovely surprise Lou Lou Bungalows turned out to be, especially for the price. Our original Praslin booking got canceled at the last minute, so I found this place by chance and booked it without expecting much. It ended up being one of the most beautiful places we stayed during our Seychelles trip. The setting is peaceful and private, with just two bungalows. On our first evening we headed to the beach for sunset, and it was magical. The next morning brought a stunning view of turquoise water, palms, and a long, quiet beach that felt almost private. Of the four places we stayed in the Seychelles, this was easily my favorite. I’m planning another island vacation already, but this one will always stay in my heart. Nothing else really compares. The host was gentle and kind. He welcomed us with mango juice and came to clean the room each day while we were out, so it was lovely to return to a tidy place after our activities. He may seem quiet or shy at first, but he’s a genuinely good person. Contact him before you arrive to make check-in go smoothly. It isn’t a luxury apartment, and the interior, especially the kitchen, is a little old. Being surrounded by nature made those small things easy to forget. Just don’t leave food out overnight because of the ants. There were a few bicycles at the back, but they weren’t really usable. I didn’t mind and even tried to learn to ride one there! There’s also a kayak, which we used a lot for swimming and exploring the water. If you want a quiet, affordable place with an incredible view, I highly recommend Lou Lou Bungalows. It may look far from the main activities, but we had a rental car, which I’d recommend anywhere in the Seychelles except La Digue. There are a few nice places to eat nearby, and we found a lovely bar about five minutes’ walk away with great evening drinks. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. 🌅💚
