The villa matched its photos, but several things made the stay difficult. Our beds squeaked with every movement and were uncomfortable, and the bedrooms got bright early because there was no proper blackout. The safe in the apartment also did not work, so we had to carry our valuables whenever we went out. We were surprised to be asked to pay the full amount again the day before leaving, even though we had already paid before arrival. It was eventually sorted out, but caused needless confusion. More unsettling was finding that someone, either the owner or a staff member, had come into the apartment while we were out. Nobody had explained this or asked permission, which felt intrusive and made it harder to relax. Guests should be told about access like this and agree to it in advance. The location also made it less convenient for exploring Praslin. Anse Lazio and Anse Volbert (Côte d’Or), among the island's main highlights, are on the opposite side. Future visitors might consider Palm Holiday Apartement next door, or Côte d’Or, which is more central and better connected to beaches, restaurants, and tour operators.

Renting a car for the day, petrol included, costs about as much as two taxi rides, so I'd recommend one for exploring the island. The beach, restaurants, and supermarkets are all a short walk away. 😁

We used Macmillan’s Villas as our base on Praslin and it worked out well. The villa had a bedroom, living room with kitchen, and a bathroom with shower. Everything was new, clean, and comfortable, with a dishwasher, washing machine, rice cooker, toaster, kettle, oven, and more. We could relax on the terrace and park right in front of the apartment. The owners were friendly, and the cleaning lady came every other day, which was great. It’s very quiet, set away from the main road with a bit of jungle behind the windows. The downside is the terrace looks over the parking lot, which feels a little odd. A better lounging spot would help, maybe a pool or a larger garden since it’s not beachfront. We had a car throughout, but rental bikes like we saw at other places would be a nice addition. Still, it was a very comfortable place and made our stay really lovely. With those additions, it would definitely get five stars. Thank you 🙏🏻

We tried booking through Airbnb for 12 people and were quoted a price. Three days later, we were told that at that price only four people could stay and that we needed to book two more villas. We tried to add another villa, but it was nearly twice the price. The photos do look cool, anyway...

Good value for the money, and a handy base for seeing the island. The place was cleaner and newer than I expected from the pictures. Everything was brand new, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There are plenty of restaurants and markets nearby.
