Our room stayed quite warm even at night because the air-conditioning was very poor. The rooms are large and right on the beach, and the restaurant staff gave good service. The food was okay, though reception could be more attentive and welcoming. The gardens need work. It feels too bare, and perhaps more large trees would help keep the rooms cool so they don't need as much air-conditioning.

We had dinner at 2se while in Praslin and loved it. The vegetable curry I had on the first night was divine, and friends enjoyed their fish. The pineapple juice was a highlight too, so fresh and unlike any we'd tasted before. On another night we tried the caramelized banana and banana&coconut nougat desserts, both so good. Definitely worth trying, 5/5.

They canceled my booking, made five months ahead, citing alleged maintenance issues after doubling the price. It's unfortunate, though I'm glad in the end because the beaches are constantly covered in seaweed.

The manager was very rude. On our last morning the room was hot, there was no WiFi, and we had no hot water for a shower because of an electricity shortage. When we asked, we were told the island had maintenance work and the hotel hadn't known until that morning, although one of the cleaning ladies said it had been known the night before. We asked if compensation for the inconvenience was possible, and the manager came over yelling instead of apologizing or explaining, then threatened to call the police. I wouldn't recommend this place. The room was nice. Breakfast had few options, and the cereal was dry and old, but they did make eggs to order, which wasn't so bad.
