Åre Travel - Liengården VM8:an

You couldn’t ask for a better ski location, just 30 meters from VM8. There are several nice apartments to rent past the somewhat worn entrance. Tenants can use the showers and luggage room, handy if you want to ski as long as possible before catching the train home.

I wouldn’t book 301 again unless it was for the location by the lift. The walkway to the lift is dangerous, running up an icy slope they’ve tried to sand. The place was untidy when we arrived, with big clumps of dust under the furniture even though Skistar’s cleaners had been there. There was yellow, sticky foam at the bottom of the dishwasher, which made me feel nauseous. Skistar came to clean it, but the machine sometimes didn’t work and the dishes weren’t always clean. Otherwise the standard was okay, though the sofa was tired, the china chipped, and the microwave worn out.

The reception staff were good when problems came up, including Alexandra. But I wouldn’t rent apartment 202 again. The standard felt half-finished for a four-person apartment. The stove, frying pan, oven, microwave, plates, and other things were old and worn. For a four-day stay, you have to buy everything like salt and oil, and you can’t leave anything behind, so a lot gets thrown away. The owner who rents through Skistar should review the standard and get rid of the rugs and old furniture.

Great spot, close to VM8 and within walking distance of the village.
