The old school building has been restored really nicely, and the rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast and desserts were very good, though the small portions made the main dinner feel overpriced. We didn’t get much of a feeling of coming home.

There’s plenty to do nearby, from canoeing, hiking, and cycling to simply relaxing around the property with a drink on one of the benches or loungers. The hosts and staff were lovely, and the location was great. Dinner is worth trying, and the sauna and hot tub especially. Recommended!

We had a family room with our two kids, and it was spacious, modern, clean, and had comfortable beds, a good shower, and good Wi-Fi. The setting near the lake is beautiful, with playgrounds and lots for the kids to do, including table tennis, badminton, and soccer. Breakfast, drinks, and dinner were all good. The Dutch owners are enthusiastic, experienced, laid-back, and very friendly, and can arrange things like canoeing, cycling, walks, and wildlife searches. They rebuilt this old school themselves, and the attention to detail and quality really shows. One of my best stays in Sweden. I’d definitely come back.

We ended up getting a hotel room in Arvika and slept well. The night before, at 10 p.m., we’d been urgently searching because our vacation apartment was disappointing and unclean. A very friendly man at reception couldn’t offer us a room, but he gave me advice and even tried calling another place for us. I really appreciated his help.

The room was lovely and the beds were really comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, with five kinds to choose from, brought to the table when you arrive. We also really enjoyed dinner. The owners are super nice and friendly, and we had a great stay here during our road trip. I’d recommend it and would stay again if I’m in the area.
