Ocean Hotel

The restaurant's food was great, with a beautiful sea view, and I'd happily return. The hotel also has a gym and sauna, which add a lot for the price. I stayed one night. The place is stylish and beautifully designed, and felt welcoming right away. My room was small, though the bathroom was spacious.

The sandwich and sparkling water cost me 30 Eur, and the food had no taste. I won't go back. A couple of minutes after 21:00, the kitchen staff had already started cleaning up and closing, even though there were still people in the restaurant.

We were there for dinner, for the Swedish Christmas table, and left full after trying lots of Swedish specialties. Most of it was great. The sugared roasted lamb wasn't to our taste, and the rice-on-milk dessert wasn't sweet, so we had to add a lot of syrup. That's a matter of food customs we're not used to, so I don't count it as a minus. At €100 per person it was a little pricey, but it's not something you do every day. It was dark, so we missed out on the seaside setting. Maybe another time.

The room was noisy because it was right by the restaurant and bar. I asked to move, but they said there were no other rooms and this was the last one, which nobody else had wanted. Worse, there was a spider in the room. It made me wonder whether the room had been cleaned, or whether they should use insect powder outside since the place is on the beach. I showed the receptionist a photo of it when I checked out.
