Hotel Skansen

Hotel Skansen's staff were lovely, and I enjoyed my one-night stay. The spa services were fantastic, and dinner at the restaurant was beautiful. Breakfast had loads of options, though I'd suggest adding a few more dairy-free or plant-based choices. The room was lovely too.

I really enjoyed my stay and the memories we made, even though a sudden emergency cut it short. When it happened, the staff immediately helped me with hot water and freshly pressed lemon juice. They were also very accommodating with my dog, who could join me for meals in the 'bar'-area. The multi-course dinners are worth trying. I had the two-course option twice, and at least one vegetarian, fish, and meat choice was available for each course during my stay. Breakfast had a wonderfully wide selection. Not everything was to my taste, but I left satisfied, and even had three full plates on my last day. Don't skip the sourdough bread. A couple of caveats: the walls between rooms could be thicker. Now and then, I could hear a bit of fumbling in the dark, though it wasn't terrible. The TV channels weren't great either, but who watches TV these days? I didn't find time to visit the spa. This was over the Easter holidays, so your experience may differ. And despite all the praise, it's not perfect or luxurious, and you'll find faults. It is personal, friendly, and comfortable. To the staff at Skansen, thank you. I hope to see you again. I didn't get your names, but you know who you are, and I appreciate your work.

Just steps from the hotel, there's access to bathing in the Baltic Sea, and the port is close by too. The rooms are stylishly and tastefully furnished, and I found the hotel very comfortable. In the evening, the restaurant was busy and served high-quality food. I especially enjoyed the beer recommendations. The staff were friendly, diligent, and helpful. A definite recommendation on Öland.

I had a spacious room with a comfortable bed, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant's food was excellent. There's also a fabulous whisky bar and an on-site spa to check out. A wonderful hotel all around, and I'll certainly stay here again.
