We were about a 10-minute drive from Filipstad, and the apartment had plenty of space. The kitchen was modern and had a full stove; the living room and bedroom shared one room. WiFi and a TV with Chromecast were included. Outside, a lovely garden stretches right down to the water.

There’s a lock and waterfall just around the corner, and shops in the nearest larger town. We stayed one night, slept well in the comfortable beds, and had everything we needed for breakfast. The grounds are cared for, with space to walk around or sit at the outdoor table. It’s a cozy, peaceful family getaway, with rooms for couples and larger families alike. The hosts were friendly and sociable, and we enjoyed chatting with them and meeting their two dogs. Their cat wasn’t interested in meeting us. We’ll definitely come back.

There was so much room to spend time outside, including a lounge group by the water. It felt like paradise, with birds singing and water rushing past. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, and the place was extremely dog-friendly. A thousand thanks from us.
