We felt so warmly looked after from the moment we arrived. The hosts were lovely and so attentive, with delicious food and thoughtful surprises throughout our stay. The area is beautiful too, especially if you fancy exploring by bike or car.

The food was outstanding, and the setting and service were both terrific. A great place for a company conference, in my view.

The lovely setting and charming rooms, each with a private sauna, couldn’t quite make up for a disappointing stay. There wasn’t a wardrobe, just a cupboard with shelves. At dinner we had to ask about the welcome drinks included in the “vinpaket.” We were served a Spanish cava, as we later learned, which seemed odd at a vineyard that didn’t offer us its own sparkling wine. We never got to use the included hot tub, and didn’t see anyone in it. At checkout, one staff member said it was working, but they hadn’t known anyone wanted to use it. The restaurant food was good, especially the locally made bread and cheeses, but the server pushed a 665 kr drinks package made up mostly of European wines and two of their brännvin. We were left feeling that nothing else “matched the food.” Why not make dishes that go with their own products? There were lots of flies in the restaurant and rooms, though I don’t know if anything can be done about them. Maybe window screens or citronella candles would help. We arrived late and missed the start of the tasting, which cost an extra 500 kr per person. Even so, there was just one sparkling wine, alongside a beer, a port and a gin. The drinks were good, but there wasn’t much explanation of how they were made or the methods used. After 45 minutes, everyone was ushered into the cellar shop, where prices were the same as or a little higher than systemet. The whole experience felt underwhelming. The breakfast was pleasant, but it was a low-effort, unstaffed cold buffet for the price of an overnight stay. Two Destination Tesla chargers were available, which was a plus. We’d read other comments mentioning a change of owners, which might explain the limited wine selection. The minibar was twice the price of the on-site shop and systemet, with half a bottle of wine costing 450 kr. That added to the sense of opportunistic pricing. For a vineyard stay at this price, we were disappointed and would give it 2/5. As a hotel in nice surroundings, perhaps 4/5 if it cost less.

The evening tasting menu was easily the best meal we’ve had on our trip in Sweden, even after some other excellent meals. Breakfast was outstanding too. The vineyard tour was fascinating, and don’t miss the ice wine! Josefin and Olle were incredibly helpful hosts. Our room was beautifully finished, with a very comfortable bed, and staying at the vineyard felt like a real treat.

Josefine and Olle made the evening feel special from the start. A larger party had canceled because of illness, so they took us on short notice and prepared a personal menu just for the two of us. We were the only guests, and their care and hospitality really stayed with us. We’re already looking forward to coming back to Sweden and returning to Blacksta Vingård. The meal was a wonderful culinary journey. Every course had lovely flavor, creativity and presentation, and the chefs’ attention to detail was clear. The beaver dish was a particularly surprising and memorable touch. You could tell Josefine and Olle care deeply about what they do. We chose the wine pairing, and the recommendations went beautifully with each dish. The selection felt carefully chosen to lift the meal. The charming room, wonderful music chosen by the owners, and breathtaking lake view made the setting feel almost magical. We had an extraordinary evening and memories we’ll cherish. I’d wholeheartedly recommend Blacksta Vingård to anyone looking for a special meal. :-)
