Home Hotel Mektagonen

Home Hotel Mektagonen is warm and welcoming, and the staff, especially the kitchen team, are what make it feel like home. They’re kind every time, and the meals taste homemade. Breakfast and dinner have both been delicious on every visit. The rooms are comfortable and spotless, and the location is handy for Willys, ICA, and the metro. It’s not a luxury hotel, but I’ve never left disappointed.

Liseberg is close by, though most other places are quite a way off. Still, I had a good stay, especially thanks to the lovely, helpful staff. The rooms were clean and had most things you’d need if you choose a higher room category. The public spaces were nice, just less cosy than at most of the smaller Home Hotels. They did have complimentary tea and coffee with baked goods, and breakfast was great. The sushi place across from the entrance was amazing too.

We only stayed two days, but it was well worth it. Trams and other things are close by, and the hotel has an arrangement with a nice gym on the ground floor. The staff were supportive and friendly, especially Ivana. Thanks for a lovely experience.

The room had everything we needed, and all the staff were friendly and ready to help. We stayed five days and found the facilities very new and welcoming. We’d definitely come back, and I’d recommend it without hesitation.
