Hotel Gyllene Uttern

The restaurant was the standout. We came for the Christmas buffet and stayed overnight, and the buffet was extremely good, with an excellent seafood selection. Service was decent, though I think they were understaffed; the staff did their best. The main building was interesting, almost castle-like, with lots of different rooms. Our room was clean but only decent at best. It was poorly lit, had mechanical locks, and just one key for a room of four. I'd definitely recommend the restaurant.

The setting is the best part, with a stunning view across Lake Vättern. We've stayed here three times over the past few years and have always had a lovely visit. Breakfast is great, and dinner at the restaurant is pretty good too.

I had a great stay, and the service and quality were amazing. I also left a personal item behind, but the staff were able to ship it to me without any problem. Thanks to everyone, especially Niklas and Lisa.

We booked at the last minute and were really glad we did. The views are stunning, and even though the rooms are simple, they felt cozy. The pillows could maybe be better, but we liked the place so much that it didn't bother us. Great value for money. The receptionist was a joy to deal with and made check-in super easy. And try the waffles at breakfast, you won't be disappointed.
