The sauna, open until 22, and the fitnessroom are both big pluses. Beyond those, this feels like an old, rundown hotel. The rooms seem to have little in them, just an open wardrobe, two chairs, one tablet and two extra bedside lights where the bed lights were broken. There’s no paper information, only a QR code to the hotel’s booking side, which isn’t very helpful. You have to go to the door to turn off the lights. The first impression was how dark the room and bathroom were. The bathroom door didn’t lock, there was no airation, and the old Windows let in a lot of street noise. The Internet ran at 20kB per second, like in the 90th. The bed, Windows and TV all felt like they were from the 70th, and the Elevator didn’t always work properly. Service was brief: “Welcome, Name? RoomNr ist..., Elevator is ..., Breakfirs is there you can eat fromm 6 'til 9.” It actually runs until 9 30. Nobody mentioned the Fitnessromm or anything else. The breakfast selection was fine, but the Bacon didn’t taste as expected and wasn’t for me. The coffee was poor, and there were only wooden spoons. Nothing tasted especially good, it was just okay enough to fill up. The Muesli was maybe a little better than okay. Based on the bookings, I’d expect the depreciation to be near 0.

Getting to a parking spot was straightforward. Reception gave us instructions, and we could easily follow them to get a parking ticket. There’s also a petrol station nearby and a Recharge Infra charging station (225 kW, CCS), handy when traveling by car or EV. I stayed in room 502 at Good Morning+ Helsingborg. It was quiet, clean and comfortable, with a surprisingly large, well-kept bathroom and toilet. Breakfast was included, which made it very good value. A practical, comfortable and well-priced place in Helsingborg.

The food was the real letdown. Both breakfast and dinner were far below what we expected, and the quality and taste disappointed us. At times it was simply inedible. A hotel with this style and level deserves a kitchen that lives up to its service and atmosphere. My wife and I did enjoy the stay otherwise. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, the welcome felt warm, and the retro style has charm. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the beds were so comfortable that we slept very well.

The room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was better than we expected, with several kinds of yogurt including vegan, plus cereal, fruit, bread, bacon, eggs and sweets. It’s easy to reach the harbour by car, and parking is free. Good value for money, with very friendly staff. There was no mini fridge in our room, so the staff kept our cheese in their refrigerator and put our cooling elements in the freezer. We really appreciated that. When we asked about the ferry, they even brought the chef out of the kitchen to help. Recommended.

The reception, restaurant and hangout area are all open plan, and the staff were friendly. It’s great value for money. But the room had poor air circulation and was really hot on the first night. There were only a limited number of fans at reception. Room safety for children could be better. The windows open without a safety lock, railing or net, which is a concern with younger kids. There also seemed to be too few staff, with one person covering reception and the bar at the same time.
