Hotell Bellevue

The hotel is close to the harbor, and some rooms have a nice view of Lake Vättern. At breakfast I didn't see any staff around, though they weren't really needed. My room was nothing special and perhaps a little dated. The extra beds were very small, meant for children, so keep that in mind.

The lunch buffet was delicious, with a salad bar and assorted breads, plus hot dishes of fish and pork loin roast, two kinds of potatoes, and gravy. There were three fruit juices at another station, with coffee and little almond or cardamom cake slices beside it. The lobby and piano bar are elegantly styled, and just outside the bar there's a large outdoor dining area with a direct lake view.

I was in the area for business and wasn't sure about the nearby hotels at first. Once I arrived, though, I was happy with what I found: really helpful, nice staff, a warm and calm feel, and the lake nearby. The location is amazing. The restaurant is very good too.

It's clean, conveniently close to everything, and the staff are friendly. Traveling with kids was easy, and they welcomed our dog with a bone and bowls. Raggar-cruisers made quite a lot of noise at night, though, and breakfast felt a bit understaffed. They were also short on baby chairs.
