Beach Room

We had booked a Friday-to-Saturday stay, but on Thursday evening I found out the hotel was overbooked when I asked whether they had bicycles. I wonder if we would have heard anything otherwise. After a long conversation, I was told my patience and tone were wrong and that this meant the hotel wouldn't help me. I had only said that it wasn't OK and suggested they arrange another hotel. So be patient and watch your tone, or you might lose your accommodation 😊

The beach location is pleasant, and breakfast is simple but fine if you don't mind paying an extra 125 SEK. We got our rooms and had an OK stay, but the place felt more like a hostel than a hotel. The rooms are small and worn, with little things broken, and it gave me the impression nobody was taking much care. The booking situation was the real problem. We were told someone off-site managed reservations but didn't pass changes on to the people there. Reception relied on handwritten lists and seemed chaotic, with confusion about who was meant to be in which room. Our check-out wasn't even marked off, and that didn't seem to be part of a routine. It felt like beds were being made and rooms assigned on the fly. The business didn't impress me.

The view is lovely, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. We booked a parking spot in April and found it had been double-booked when we arrived in July. I heard others had also missed out on their spots. Friends staying in the hotel had key cards that failed several times, too. The owner was unfriendly.

There are bikes available to rent, and the owner was pleasant and helpful. The hotel itself is nice, though the staff didn't seem experienced or very helpful. Breakfast was very basic for the price, which felt far too high.
