The campground itself was fine, and the mini golf was fun, but the grotto rooms were a bad experience. We stayed in one of the cave cabins, basically a concrete bunker underground, thinking the kids would enjoy it. We arrived at 3, the check-in time, and the man was already closing up. I don't know how we'd have got the key if we'd arrived later. When we asked about mini golf, he just said they were closing and we could keep the clubs until morning. He didn't mention a price, then charged us 400 kr. Everyone else playing that afternoon and evening had free clubs and paid nothing. Seriously? The room smelled like a moldy basement. We killed six spiders as soon as we got in, and they'd built webs on all our beds. The bathroom looked okay, but smelled strongly of urine, like a sports locker room. I wouldn't recommend the grotto rooms at all.

A good-value place to take a break from hiking Skåneleden, with laundry available and easy bus access to the town of Höör. I had a pleasant stay at the hobbit hole hostel and would recommend it to hikers looking for a rest. Shout-out to camp host Filip and his family, who I got to chat with!

Tykarpsgrottan's guided walk through the historic limestone caves is fascinating. The tour is mostly in Swedish, though English can be arranged if requested. The guide explains the geology and the site's history, including its 18th-century roots and use in film productions, so there's a lot to learn. It works for all ages, but children under four may have trouble staying focused. Still, it's a memorable outing for families or anyone else.
