Ristafallets camping

A lovely spot for a few days surrounded by nature. The rooms are clean and set up with what you need for a short stay. The hiking trails have beautiful scenery, and it’s a great place to work from home 😎

The staff and owner were really friendly, and the hiking trails along the river and waterfalls are lovely. The river is loud, but its steady sound is easier to live with because the campsite sits just above the waterfall, so there’s much less noise there. The site itself is small and can feel crowded when it’s busy. You choose your own pitch, but need to keep at least 4m from your neighbours. The toilets were okay and the showers were great, with free hot water. The facilities felt a bit messy and worn, though, and the building is too small when the campsite is full.

Jan/Mathilde, thanks so much for being so welcoming. You went out of your way to help us, even after hours, so we could be comfortable. We stayed five nights. The kitchen, WC and other facilities were very clean and well kept. The site is close to Are ski resort, and there’s a waterfall with a great view behind the park.

The site is in an excellent spot beside the waterfall. But I couldn’t get a pitch after trying twice, once in the afternoon and again in the morning. The website said only 10 of the 35 pitches could be booked, with the rest available as drop-ins. I find it hard to believe there are really only 10 bookable pitches.
