Hotell Järvsöbaden

Our room was small, but the hotel was spotless and the professional staff were wonderful. They were happy to help with any travel needs, and the massage with Petra Steiner is well worth booking. This stay left us refreshed for the rest of our busy travels. Jarvsobaden has old-world charm and lovely customer service. There are flower-filled outdoor seating areas and elegant sitting rooms for rainy days. Breakfast was generous and tasty, with plenty of gluten-free choices, including bread the hotel makes itself. Dinner was usually very good, served in a simple but elegant room with linen tablecloths and fresh flowers. We loved the feeling of a bygone era and a return to genteel civility.

The staff were amazing and went out of their way to help with tips and everything else. We had a really great time, and I’m grateful for all the help and first-class hospitality. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food delicious. The jacuzzi was absolutely amazing, and the cold bath was a real treat. The outdoor pool and pool area were lovely too. Definitely recommend, and I’ll definitely go back!

We called at the last minute for New Year’s at Hotel Järvsöbaden, and they were able to fit us in. The owners greeted us warmly and work at the hotel themselves. Our room in the main building was a nice size and comfortable, with a TV and basic amenities. The decor is antique and tasteful, from the hallway wallpaper to the furniture in the common spaces and dining room. It made the place feel extra cosy and quaint. The food was great: a three-course meal with wine tasting, all of it lovely, and they refilled our glasses as much as we wanted. The serving staff were super friendly and made the meal feel personal. Because of restrictions, they put on private fireworks at 8:00 pm for the 30 guests staying there. They also gave us all bags with champagne and potato chips to enjoy in our rooms at midnight. Such a nice touch. Loved staying here and highly recommend it!

The rooms are cute and comfy, though a little too small for my taste. We had a double-bed room, but the beds were separate and impossible to push together, so my husband and I were “forced” to sleep in a little one. Couldn’t help doing that, it was our wedding anniversary 😉 The breakfast was good, though it could use fresh fruit and some fancier food. This is a lovely place with old-fashioned luxury. The staff are kind and helpful, and the main building is tastefully decorated and cosy on rainy days. It all feels like stepping back in time in a good way, with fresh flowers, tablecloths, old books, and antique furniture. The gardens are gorgeous too, with beautiful flowerbeds and orchards. We’ll definitely come back.
