The place and toilets were very clean, and the staff were friendly. It’s a great spot for a holiday with a dog or children, with self-contained cabins that have barbecue facilities. When picking a pitch, check whether you prefer morning or evening sun before deciding.

We stayed two nights and will definitely come back later this year. It’s a lovely spot by the water, great for fishing, birding and walks, with excellent shower and kitchen facilities. We were just ahead of peak season, so nearly had the place to ourselves. The shop wasn’t open beyond things like ice cream, but the 30-minute walk into town more than made up for it. Such a lovely route over the little islands to the beautiful town, where we had coffee and did some shopping before walking back.

We’re here for the third time and plan to come back. The team made our stay pleasant. There’s so much to do, or you can just relax. The little island setting is lovely and very romantic, with lots of facilities: a small shop, mini golf, restaurant, Imbiss, SUP, kayak, billiard mini golf, boat rentals, fishing, fishing tips and animation. The campground is mainly geared toward Swedish guests. Everyone speaks English, but the signs and menus are only in Swedish, though Google can help. The caravan pitches only have electricity, and there are too few water points around the site. Bring a watering can, as the hose you bring might not reach.

We rented sea kayaks for the day, and the whole process was so uncomplicated. It’s a well organised campsite.
