Lappeasuando Lodge

We were two travelers from America trying to find our way in a country so far from home, and this place was a wonderful refuge. The rooms had what we needed, including curtains that blocked the bright midnight sun. Opening the window for cool summer air made it even easier to rest. We slept peacefully, apart from the dogs howling at night. We actually thought that was pretty neat, since we don't hear that at home. They offer breakfast for a fee and other meals at the on-site restaurant, but we arrived after dinner and left before breakfast was served, so we didn't try any of it. I'd love to come back in winter for dog sledding. Sounds fun!

We did the full-day snowmobile tour, sharing two snowmobiles, and had a great time. Erik was kind and did a very good job as our guide. He kept looking out for animals, and we saw a moose with its calf and later a fox. Afterwards, we got to pet the husky puppies there, too. We can absolutely recommend the tour.

We hadn't booked the lodge, just the snowmobile tour. What a wonderful day out in the Arctic snow. Erik was a very nice owner and guide, and the surroundings were beautiful. We'd definitely recommend the tour. Thanks again, Erik!

The place isn't crowded with tourists, and the local food was good. The rooms were fine, and the lodge team were kind people who made us feel at home. We really enjoyed every minute, especially the excursions: a two-day husky tour, a Skido tour, building an igloo, and ice fishing. Thanks to everyone there.
