Bäckaskog Slott

We had a wonderful time at Bäckaskog Slott. The calm atmosphere and direct access to the lakes were lovely, and every team member was polite and ready to help. Our room was very cozy and clean, dinner was delicious, and the breakfast buffet was generous. Such a beautiful stop during our road trip around Skåne. Thanks so much!

The castle grounds are beautiful and well kept, and we’re very grateful for the stay. Staff greeted us on arrival and showed us a parking spot close to our room. We’d booked an accessible room, and it was well equipped for our needs. Breakfast was delicious, with the best scrambled eggs and bacon we’ve had in a hotel, plus a very good selection that included pancakes. The staff were attentive and helpful. We’d really like to return!

The people at reception really made a difficult day easier. My car trouble meant I couldn't drive to Sweden Rock Festival, and they went out of their way to find a company that could get me to the festival grounds. When I had to wait four hours for the tow truck, they even packed me a sandwich and drinks at my last breakfast. Tack, a thousand times! I stayed four nights in the Klostergården wing, and ended up meeting some new people too. The setting is lovely: a castle with rooms in its wings, a restaurant, a breakfast restaurant and a couple of separate buildings by the lake. The food and drinks were great, and the huge park is very well kept, with enough paths to wander for hours in good weather. A peaceful, historic place to recharge.

We went during Halloween and took part in the castle's nighttime ghost hunt. The guide told the story really well and was very professional. A great experience, in a fantastic castle with very friendly staff.
