The location is perfect, close to everything, and there's a Bible in the room if you're Christian. The room I had smelled really bad.

The breakfast was excellent, well prepared, and the best I've had in a hotel for a long time. Staff were helpful and tried to sort out the problems. The rooms were comfortable, and the historic hotel is centrally located, with easy access to downtown. Parking is across the street and paid. A lot needs updating to bring the hotel to an acceptable standard. The TV gave us trouble in both rooms, and neither worked with Chromecast, even though it appeared as a menu option. The corner rooms and suites had no Wi-Fi once we left the hallway, so the relays need adjusting to reach all guests. And if you're there on a Friday or Saturday night, expect the bass from the dance clubs next door to keep going until about 2:00 AM. We couldn't sleep.

We paid around 1300 krona a night, and the service left us disappointed. Staff were friendly, but reception was often unattended. Our sauna booking was overlooked, apparently because the staff had gone home. Rooms weren't cleaned until late afternoon, and even then the cleaning was poor. More often than not, we saw cleaners gossiping outside the rooms. The cutlery was dirty too. The building is beautiful but old and short on modern facilities. With no fans or air conditioning, the rooms were too hot at night to sleep comfortably. There wasn't enough signage either. We had to let a group of elderly people in through the front door because they didn't know their room key was needed to enter the hotel, and there was no notice explaining it. Overpriced, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

Jessica the Hotel Manager refused to make any changes to my weekend booking for 2 Rooms, and spoke rudely and aggressively. I had to ask about amending it because of a Covid case in my family. She didn't seem to care that someone with Covid might contaminate the hotel, potentially affecting other guests, especially with the buffet breakfast. I don't know what kind of service they offer if guest safety and people's circumstances don't matter. Very bad management, and a rude manager.
