The breakfast didn’t offer much for people who are gluten intolerant or vegan. I could only eat fruit, bread, and marmalade. I asked a staff member if there was anything else, but his Swedish was too poor for him to understand me. The other members of my family had decent rooms, but the room my fiancée and I got looked like it needed renovating 20 years ago. It might have been okay if the bathroom didn’t have a brown plastic floor and a rather funky smell.

The hiking package included excellent service, and the lunch was great. That helped lift our experience overall. The hotel service was above average, and the restaurant food was also better than average. The room itself was just so-so. Some things, like the furniture, were good, but the bathroom was below average and the curtains were broken. At dinner it was hard to get the waiters’ attention, and the restaurant service was close to bad. Some staff had finished their shift and were having drinks in the bar with the team still working. We eventually left because service was lacking and took our desserts up to the room instead.

The breakfast was five-star. My room was quite large and I slept very well, though the bathroom looked a bit dated. Everything worked, but the lighting in the room was very dim.

I only came in for breakfast. At 120 sek it was cheap for a hotel breakfast, but you get what you pay for: it was standard fare and the bread was very dry. The room was a nice old one, though the plastic tablecloths were dirty. I won’t be back.
