Marstrands Havshotell

The floating sauna with direct access to the sea was the best part of this amazing spa hotel. The spa isn’t very large, but it has everything you’d expect. Parking, the bus station, and the ferry to the island are all easy to reach. Breakfast had a great variety. The staff were professional and patient, and our requests were handled well. I made a mistake with my order, and they dealt with it kindly and patiently. I’ve been twice and will definitely come again. I couldn’t imagine a better experience.

We loved our three-night stay at the end of July with our two teenagers. The location made it easy to get around the area, and the rooms had amazing views. They’re unusual, fairly sparse, and very functional, but we liked them and they were clean and neat. The food was excellent, though I wouldn’t book half board because there are many good à la carte options in the restaurant. The wellness area and saunas are well worth trying. Don’t miss the floating sauna and the ocean plunge afterward. I’d happily come back.

The spa was amazing, with pools inside and hot pools outside. The staff were friendly and very helpful. What a place, five stars well deserved. Thank you!

The spa and the location were amazing, and the beds were comfortable. Rooms are standard in size with basic appliances and comforts, but the chairs had some “weird stains.” A bathrobe is provided, though no slippers, which is a miss for a hotel with a spa. The spa itself is really nice. I didn’t get a massage, so I can’t rate that. Apart from breakfast, the food portions were really, really small. A small cup of salad and a third of a chicken breast as dinner doesn’t seem like enough. Some pairings were odd too, like milk chocolate with havtorn berries. The cocktails weren’t mixed well and were quite expensive for what they were. Bread wasn’t replenished even after we asked several times. The service was extremely slow as well, and all of that spoiled the visit.
