The lake is right there, with a spot where you can swim or bathe as you like. I also liked that there are peaceful forest walks and plenty to explore around Lygnen, where Kungsbacka gets its drinking water, including a small museum, a cycling trail, and fields with Viking-era runes and graves. The B&B is about 15 minutes by car from Kungsbacka, outside Gothenburg, which isn't a big city but has more than enough. Back at the B&B, the view over the lake is incredible, and its distance from the city makes it easy to settle down and clear your head. There was a lot of choice at breakfast, and the staff were kind, helpful hosts. A lovely place to relax, with things to do if sitting still isn't for you.

Ella let us take the paddle boats out the next day, so we got to spend a few extra hours by the pier. We were only here for one night, but the brand-new house was cozy and lovely. The rooms are small, with charming decor, and the lake is close by. Leonie and I would definitely recommend staying here.

It can be a bit noisy inside the house, but otherwise we thought everything was great. The owners were friendly and helpful, and some rooms look out over the lake. Breakfast is laid out in the fridge and freezer, kept stocked, and you can take it to eat on the patio with the lake view. There's also a rowing boat you can borrow. The setting is beautiful and cozy, and it would be perfect for a few relaxing days. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was alright, and the rooms were okay, but the price felt too high to me. I paid €95 for a triple room as a single room, and it had only three beds, with no table or chest of drawers. The shower and toilet were one floor below. It's a beautiful spot, but too far from Kungsbacka for an overnight stop before continuing a trip. You have to drive about 12 km back into town to get food.
