The sea view from our room was lovely, and we enjoyed watching the sunset on the rocks by the bridge. Smögen is just a five-minute walk across the bridge. The family who run this cozy hostel/house are all kind and welcoming. Having a kitchen, living room, and sun deck makes it feel like home away from home. Bring your own sheets and towels if you want to avoid the rental fee.

The owner is a lovely person, soft-hearted and full of humor. We parked our camper here for a couple of days to enjoy 'The Light Festival' and the scenery, and the location was perfect.

We stayed two nights with our family, and common areas were dirty in places the owners should clean, including the stove and surfaces. With seven people needing to get ready, the hot water ran out after one shower. Our dog came with us, so I stayed in the pet-friendly room, separate from the rest of the vandrahem. It smelled strongly of urine, and the blankets were very old and ragged. By the time we arrived, we had no other accommodation options. For budget travelers who don't want to spend a crazy amount on the one hotel in Smögen, I'd suggest Airbnb. In hindsight, I wish we'd used it.

The facilities were clean and adequate for a comfortable holiday, and it's conveniently located for a walk into town. We had a lovely stay, with even better hospitality from all the staff. Strongly recommended.
