We stayed over Christmas, when the hostel would usually be closed, but it had partly opened for people needing a place during the holidays. There was no staff on site or breakfast, though the self-service kitchens meant we could manage without it. The house is quiet and clean, and while it hasn't had any major renovation in decades, everything works well. Good location for a reasonable price.

Laholm itself is a lovely place, with beautiful nature around it. The hostel had a cozy feel, but the rooms were such a high standard that it felt more like a hotel, which was a plus. The morning buffet was great, and I loved that the TVs had the main Danish channels.

We came to Laholm to fish in Lagan, and the hostel was just what we needed for a night's sleep. It worked out perfectly.
