In summer, it’s easier to get into the forest, and a night walk there is unforgettable. Fireflies in the bushes look like little burning berries. In winter, the roads can be slippery, and the streetlights are no match for the dark, but the warmth of the hearths and the sight of the nearby water are incomparable. It’s a magical place. If you’ve never been, go, especially if you have a vivid imagination and still see the world with a child’s eyes. You might picture gifted children from another world coming here years ago, to a school of magic and wonders. Maybe they’re the reason it still feels magical today.

The setting is nice and has a bit of history to it. You can see the old dam and waterworks. There’s also a large Indian Tent where you can have a fire inside, about the size of a 12-man military tent. The course yard is used by associations, the Swedish church and the Police Dog Group. There are sometimes concerts or music too. Quiet nice.

I’ve visited the farm several times a year for 16 years. The rooms have always been clean, the food is good with a varied menu, and the friendly staff are helpful. There’s lots of space for activities, and in summer the surroundings are beautiful and you can go swimming.
