Sky Hotel Apartments Tornet

We were on the 6th floor and had a breathtaking view. The room was modern, clean, quiet, and even had a little kitchen. After a long hike, the included laundry service was especially useful. There’s parking nearby, though you can’t park right outside the building. That didn’t bother us, and we’d definitely recommend the hotel.

The location is the main drawback. There’s not much nearby, so getting to a grocery store means a car, a bike, or a long walk. The free parking is also a walk from the building, and the nearby garbage dump and abattoir can make it smell awful outside when the wind is blowing. It doesn’t smell inside, though the windows don’t open. Neighbors are audible, but the windows do a good job of keeping train noise down. The studio is small but has what you need, including kitchen supplies and a dishwasher. Key pickup is through a lockbox, and there’s shared laundry. The building gym costs extra. Go for a high floor if you want the best part of Sky Tower, the view over the area, mostly train tracks. I’ve stayed at several Sky properties and liked them all. They’ve had good standards, and I think the company recently changed owners, so I hope that continues. This is the cheapest Sky property in Linkoping and still quite good, though it has its downsides.

It’s cozy and inexpensive, with friendly staff and a kitchenette in the room. The bus stop is within walking distance, and laundry is free, though you have to reserve a time slot.

The rooms are clean and well cared for, so I’ve no complaints there. A vending machine near the entrance has some food, which is handy if you arrive after the shops have closed. Just keep in mind that the reception desk is for the rental apartments, not the hotel rooms.
