Strandflickornas Havshotell

The location, atmosphere, cleanliness, books and toys for children, and shared kitchen amenities were the good parts. We could use the kitchen to have breakfast, and our room had everything looking tidy. But I wouldn't return. We booked a room at Strandvillan for two adults and our 6-year-old. It was very small, and opening our two regular checked-in suitcases was tricky. The 140 cm bed was already small, and the mattress was so soft that whenever one of us moved, the other woke up. We stayed three nights and slept badly on two of them. The room also got really warm at night, even though it wasn't warm in Lysekil during our stay, so I can only imagine how uncomfortable it gets in hot weather. We'd booked a “sea view”, but could also see a mini golf. We tried breakfast on the first day. It was okay, but at 300sek for the three of us, we didn't think it was worth it. There wasn't much choice and nothing special.

For dinner we had the summer salad, zucchini and tomatoes puttanesca, and two local beers 🍻. A receptionist gave us a voucher for 125 kr off the restaurant bill. Breakfast was adequate.

The yellow villa's decor made us feel like royalty, and its location near the granite coast is phenomenal. The staff were super friendly, the food delicious. Highly recommended!

A lovely little idyll, with a good feel, great food and perfectly decorated rooms. Such a nice change from the usual corporate hotels.
