Clarion Hotel Malmö Live

The breakfast buffet had a broad selection, good quality food, and was well run. Our room was another highlight, with a modern, comfortable design and a great view across the city, the Øresund Strait, and the Turning Torso. The bathroom worked well and felt luxurious, with a separate shower and bathtub. We arranged an upgrade before arriving, and it was a good investment that I’d recommend. We had a great stay at Clarion Hotel Malmö Live and would choose it again.

There was visible mold in the shower, and the room had dents, damage, and signs of wear throughout. It did not feel up to the standard I’d expect from a hotel. The refrigerator in our room was blowing warm air instead of working. When I reported it, the front desk said they couldn't do anything and made no proactive effort to sort it out. I had to keep asking before hearing about possible alternatives. They eventually suggested using a fridge in their office, which is inappropriate, especially for a family with a child who needs milk safely stored in the room. That experience left me unsure the hotel could provide basic amenities or handle problems responsibly. If such a basic issue isn't addressed or taken seriously, it makes me wonder what else is being overlooked. The property seems poorly managed, and I wouldn't recommend it to families or anyone expecting basic comfort and service.

The hotel is a little farther from Malmø city center than many others, though not enough to make a big difference. Staff were very friendly, and the breakfast buffet was nicely laid out. I liked the omelet station too. We were upgraded to a suite on the 23rd floor. The room was very nice and had an amazing view, though a few minor issues made it seem like the hotel may not be brand new.

The only small drawback was the shower, which was pretty small but still fine. The room was clean and well designed, and the staff were kind, friendly, and efficient. It's pet-friendly too. I stayed just one night and had a fantastic experience. The location is great, close to the city center with lots of interesting things to see nearby. Breakfast was delicious and offered plenty of variety. I’d stay here again when we visit Malmö.
