Comfort Hotel Malmö

Being near the station is the hotel's best feature. The room itself was worn, with chipped and damaged paint in several places and a dirty carpet worn down from heavy use. It had no window to the outside, only one facing the interior courtyard, which stays brightly lit all day and night. That wasn't mentioned when I booked. Light also came through the curtains from the courtyard and from the TV's LED, while a bright blue light on the thermostat shone at my face. With no natural light, all of that made sleeping difficult. It's 2025, and hotels should know blue light can interfere with sleep. The third floor was confusing too, since 3a and 3b are on different levels and the room number doesn't tell you which one you're on. Check-in was another hassle: the automated process asked a million unnecessary questions, including personal details and my passport number. After ten minutes it failed and sent me to reception. Staff were okay, but seemed exasperated when I ordered food at the bar, as if it was a huge effort they didn't want to make. Being close to the station is really the main thing this place has going for it.

Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of tasty food and drinks to choose from. The hotel was clean, welcoming, and had a friendly feel. Its spot near Malmö Central Station makes a handy base for exploring the city. Many historic sites, parks, and museums are only a short walk away.

A good deal for the price, with a quality breakfast and a distinctive look. The interior was interesting, and the 24/7 gym was a nice extra. We were especially glad they offered fresh cold cuts from 3:30 a.m., since our flight from CPH was early. More hotels should consider that. It's a pleasant setting, just a three-minute walk from Malmo Centralstationen, which gets you to Copenhagen airport in 25 minutes.

There are lots of rooms, but the hotel stays quiet and never feels crowded. The rooms are clean, pleasant, and practical, and the whole place is modern and good value. Service was great. The big reception area has seating, a play space with ping pong and corn hole, and a smaller bar for drinks and light food. Breakfast is served in a large open restaurant, with eggs and bacon, coffee, ginger shots, cheeses, jams, and a well-stocked gluten-free section.
