The shared kitchen and shower were fine for a couple of days, and I had my own toilet and sink in a clean room. The location is the main draw: a bus stop is right nearby, the beach is a one-minute walk away, and with the window open you can hear the sea. I’d definitely recommend it.

Restaurants, bars, and grocery stores are all easy to reach on foot. The rooms feel cozy and the host was friendly, though the shared kitchen gets really crowded.

The owners were kind, and the beach is only a few minutes away on foot. There are some cute dogs around too, though you can easily avoid them if you want.

For a beach holiday in Sweden, the location is hard to beat. It has that genuine Swedish hospitality feel.

A handy place to stop while cycling the Kattegatteleden, with the dunes and beach at Mellbystrand close by.
