The thing I noticed most was the breakfast. There was plenty of everything throughout, and they kept it going until 9:30 for the last tired guests, though it was supposed to end at 9. The staff were very kind. The coffee passed an Italian's test, including the espresso and coffee cream. Our room felt homey, was well ventilated, and had a renovated, spacious bathroom with dimmed lighting. The medium-firm bed was perfect, though both pillows were too soft unless used together. The room came with Swedish-style cinnamon green tea and milk, two bottles of sparkling water, a cold little fridge for my own water, and a sleep kit with earplugs and an eye mask. Checkout at 12 gave me lots of time for a shower. It's my favorite hotel. There's a lot of parking near the hotel and it's included. The place is quiet and well located across from the train station, about a six-minute drive from the motorway. There are plenty of fast-food stops along the way, and 150 kW fast charging beside one of them. Mjölby is a nice little town, around two and a half hours south of Stockholm. The price was fair at 1,500 Swedish krona, about 134 EUR or 157 American dollars. The one letdown was room 312's view of the garbage behind the hotel. They could hide it better. Still, I'd stay again. It's worth it.

The clean, cozy room and the evening buffet and breakfast, which had everything we could wish for, made for a fantastic stay that exceeded our expectations. My partner and I want to thank Stadshotellet. Every staff member was incredibly nice and helpful. We'll definitely be back.

The location works perfectly if you're arriving by train or bus, and there's a large free car park beside the hotel. We had a great experience from check-in through checkout, with friendly, helpful staff. Things have improved massively since the new owner took over a few years before the Pandemic.

The train noise kept me awake. The hotel is opposite the station, which is handy if you're travelling by train. Rooms are fairly basic, and some are quite a long way from the car. The doors are alarmed, so getting to the car can involve quite a detour. There were eight Type 2 chargers, though they weren't advertised, and they use the Monta app. The dinner buffet was wonderful and affordable, the reception service was good, and breakfast was good too, though the bacon wasn't fried until crispy.

The restaurant was nice, with great food quality, a good choice of drinks, and good taste. The service was perfect and friendly. Parking is good and the train station is right in front of the hotel. It's a classic place, well done and clean, but too old-fashioned for me. I'd stay here again. I like it.
