The canal-side seating was such a nice spot to catch up with friends and family, especially in summer. And the waffle was delicious!

Motala itself didn't have much for us beyond a few restaurants and a small harbour, though we liked the beach and the canal running past the cafe. Our one-night stay at Mallboden was a good time. The hosts were welcoming and flexible, and everything was neat and very clean, particularly the brand-new plumbing house.

The apartment had a cozy, old-fashioned feel, and the ice cream was heavenly. The waffles were the best I've ever had. My one gripe is that the toilets and showers are now in a separate, more distant building. They were clean and roomy, but having them close by matters.
