Blommenhof Hotel

The hotel is in a quiet spot surrounded by nature, and the food was quite good. We had a very nice spa, and the staff were super friendly throughout our stay. They upgraded us to a mini suite at no charge and gave us a little present for our anniversary. We'd absolutely recommend it and will definitely go back. 😊

The spa was beautiful, the room was quiet, and the air conditioning worked well, which isn't usual in Scandinavian hotels. Breakfast was standard. It's easy to find, with parking right out front, and the building is old but beautiful. Check-in was quick, with no ID requested. Still, we were disappointed that the receptionists couldn't really communicate in English or tell us about dinner. I think they should know about the restaurant or have the information handy to introduce it to guests. At the bar, I was heading toward the waitresses to ask where the toilet was when I heard them say, “nu kommer hon”.

The hotel looks wonderful among the snowy trees, and the staff are friendly and well trained. But the rooms are too small, the beds minimal, and the toilets weren't properly clean or prepared. They didn't change the towels or make up the rooms. They need to improve to deserve four stars. Otherwise, two or three stars would be more fitting.

The swimming pool and spa were the best parts, and all the staff gave us impressive service. The property is huge and sits in a great forest location. Breakfast was quite good, though Monday's pancakes were too hard. The three-star rating is only because of the room, which needs a lot of improvement.
