Breakfast and dinner were good, and the service was okay, though it sometimes felt unfriendly. The room was tiny, with barely enough space for a single bed, and that bed was really uncomfortable. Every shower left the bathroom floor flooded.

For the high price, the room was small and poorly thought out, breakfast was bad, and the service was horrible. Avoid this place.

Anneli deserves a special thanks for making me feel so welcome. The customer service was great from the reservation right through checkout. Stora Hotellet in Osby was a lovely surprise, since charming little boutique hotels like this are hard to find in Sweden. I’d highly recommend staying here when you’re in northern Skåne.

Åhus seems like a bit of a gem, and the place has a very high standard overall. But maintenance seems to have slipped lately: my room had spiderwebs and wasn’t very clean. I can’t say whether that was due to corona, since I’ve only stayed once.

The room looked fine, but the pillows had hairs on them and were dirty, which was gross. The bed wasn’t comfortable either. I arrived Sunday at about 21:15 after travelling all the way from the Netherlands, but the doors were shut and nobody was at reception, so I couldn’t get in. Luckily there was a phone number on the main door. I called, and they gave me the access code and said my key was in the room.
