The snowmobile tour, husky sledding, and ice karting were the highlights for us, all unforgettable. Lamia was a fantastic guide, friendly and full of knowledge, and her explanations before each activity were clear and helpful, so everything felt enjoyable and safe. The staff were kind and helpful all week, and the food was very good throughout our stay at Grand Arctic Resort in Överkalix. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend it for a winter adventure in Lapland.

My car broke down, so I went into the hotel lobby to ask for help. I wasn't staying there, but the people I met were really kind and helpful. The coffee was great too, so I ended up buying another.

The hotel has lovely views, and we enjoyed our one-night stay last summer. When I mentioned that I eat vegan, they offered lots of vegan options at breakfast and really tried to accommodate me.

The dinner tasted delicious, but the portions were so small that nobody could satisfy their hunger. Breakfast and lunch were okay, and everything else was really good.

The staff were service-minded and the location is great, but the restaurant needs improvement. On Monday evening I ordered an assorted plate of grilled meats. It seemed pre-fried instead of grilled, came cut into pieces, and was served at questionable temperatures. A few hours later my stomach rejected it, and it took two long days to recover. I hope a visit from hälsovårdsnämnden in Överkalix can help get safe food management back on track.
