We were there with Caravan Club over festival weekend and met some nice people. Old mopeds were driving around the lake. We were in Frankian, so of course the room gets five stars.

The place was nice and the service was good, but there was construction traffic right outside the window at 7 am. It was also a bit silly that dogs weren’t allowed anywhere on the beach. We had to pay extra to reserve a table, then arrived to find all the tables empty and nobody else there. That was boring.

It’s a simple hostel right by a sandy beach, with a nice view of the lake. The room is basic and has no extras; the buildings and interior could use a little love. A sauna or hot tub would have improved the rating. The nightly price is quite okay, though. A solid 3.

Seeing my boys Jonas and Gunnar with the repetitious Helmer made me so happy. They look so much like their father. I felt my prayers had been heard, and having my children back made it the best day of my life. Thank you, God. Amen.
