Bengtssons Loge

We had a really enjoyable, unusual stay here. The views are spectacular, there's plenty of parking, and the staff and other guests were very polite. It's family friendly too. Great for a budget trip, a fishing trip, or just a quiet night away. The rustic rooms have modern conveniences, and you can find places nearby that cost four times as much, only a five-minute drive away. Our room was on the small side, but easily fit four adults with its three beds. They were soft, and the room was warm, dry, and quiet. The shared bathrooms and shower rooms are in the main hallway and serve three rooms. There's a large-screen TV in the lounge, plus games, toys, books, and even spare reading glasses under the stairs by the entrance. You can bring your own food and use the communal kitchen, which has dining tables, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, several fridges, a microwave, and a full-size cooktop and oven. Just clean up after yourself. Or get a bite at the Pub at the other end of the building. Wi-Fi is free. Bring your own sheets, or rent them here for a little extra. Remember to take your shoes off when you come in. There are clean slippers in a basket if you forgot yours, or you can enjoy the heated tile floor in the common room.

Good food, really tasty.

Gröstorps Pub is a nice place to spend a couple of hours with friends or with kids. The surroundings feel calm and welcoming, with a real sense of togetherness. The benches are a bit hard and the bar sits a little high for shorter guests, but neither took away from the experience. Staff were friendly and attentive, and they seemed to enjoy working there. Have a good meal and something nice to drink, and you won't be disappointed.

A welcoming home away from home for us motorcyclists. We stopped for the night, enjoyed good food, and got friendly service.
