Skummeslöv B&B

There are lots of good places to cycle from here, and the beach and excursions around southern Halland and Bjäre are close by. The West Coast Anan railway runs next door, but there are only a few trains at night, so it wasn’t disruptive. The E6 motorway is nearby too, though it sits in a cut that blocks most of the noise. This is a cozy, rural BoB with dogs and horses, friendly staff, and a simple, tasty breakfast with all the expected basics. Guests can use a well-equipped kitchen with a fridge and freezer, and I think you can borrow a washing machine if you ask. There are two ground-floor toilets with showers, so expect a bit of a queue in the morning. The two loft rooms are reached by a fairly steep outdoor staircase. The stairs down begin right outside the nearest room, so you need to watch your step, especially at night. There's a light, but its switch is at the bottom of the stairs. There are also changes in floor height inside, including steps down to the ground-floor rooms and the kitchen. Because of all the stairs and level changes, I wouldn’t recommend this BoB to people with limited mobility or disabilities. For everyone else, it’s a good option.

Fresh bread comes out every morning, which is a lovely extra. The B&B itself is incredibly cozy, just what you’d hope for from a quaint place like this. 👌🏼

The service was great, and the rooms were fresh and nice in pleasant surroundings. It’s also perfectly placed for Kvarnbacka Icelandic horses and full-day rides on Skummelslöv beach.

The rooms are okay, and there are plenty of shared facilities, including a shower, fridge and freezer. The B&B is in a great, quiet location, with the surrounding area and beach easy to get to.
