Rösjöbaden Camping & Stugby

We spent three days in a tent and really liked the location. The place itself is lovely. The main issue was the women’s toilets: they were awful, with only 3 toilets for the whole campsite, and one was sometimes out of service. The kids’ playground was very minimal, just two swings. We wished there was more for them, though it wasn’t a big deal since we could keep them busy with mini-golf and beach volleyball.

There’s a place to eat, though nothing special, just kebab or pizza, plus ice cream and coffee. Parking is fairly plentiful if you arrive early, but there isn’t enough for everyone. It’s quite nice here, recently fixed up, with a playground, volleyball, and a decent lake for swimming. The changing rooms and toilets are pretty clean.

It’s a beautiful, quiet campsite in the greater Stockholm area, and there’s loads to do for families. It sits beside a large swimming lake with designated swimming spots, a diving tower, and a big water slide. There’s also beach volleyball, a football field, a great mini golf course, a snack bar, a bar, and a little shop. Everything is in very good condition. WiFi is good and free across the site, and the bus stop for Stockholm isn’t far away. There’s room for everyone, whether you’re in a tent, caravan, camper van, or wooden hut. I stayed in a hut, and they vary inside depending on how many people they’re for. Mine was very clean, spacious, and well equipped, with a fridge, freezer, TV, oven, stove, air conditioning, dishes, cleaning supplies, and a shower suitable for seniors. It’s definitely not the cheapest campsite, but you get extras that many others don’t. I’ll be back.

The restaurant and bar have reopened after corona, and the staff are nice and helpful. Prices and service seem reasonable. There’s public transport nearby, but we usually drive to Mörby center shopping mall and take the tunnelbana from there. The campsite is by a beautiful lake with very clean water, just a few kilometers outside Stockholm city center. You can pitch a tent or bring a campervan, and there are small houses if you don’t want either. They aren’t air-conditioned, which is a problem in summer. You can also rent a tent, sort of glamping. There’s a waterslide, but it hasn’t been open for a few years and still isn’t.
